On April 21, 2025, within the framework of the Science Week at the Department of Foreign Languages of the Institute of Philology and Intercultural Communication, an international scientific-practical conference "Digital Integration in Language Research: New Horizons and Challenges" was held.
The plenary session was moderated by the Vice-Director for Academic Affairs, Associate Professor Ysmailova Raikan Apzhaparovna, and was opened with a welcoming speech of the Vice-Rector for Scientific Affairs of Osh State University, Candidate of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Associate Professor Esharov Elzarbek Asanovich. Associate Professor Surkeeva Dinara Bekmamatovna made a report on the activities of honored teachers Galimova E.S. and Panitkova N.M. in educating students and their significant contributions to the development of the university. The program continued with welcoming speeches by Doctor of Philological Sciences, Professor, Vice-Director for Scientific Affairs Sabirova Venera Kubatovna and Associate Professor Alymkulova Svetlana Batyrbekovna.
After the welcoming speeches, a series of reports on topical issues of language research were presented at the plenary session: Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor, representative of Kokand State University (Andijan branch) Isroilova Dildora Mukhtarovna made a report online on the topic "The Importance of Soft Skills in Developing Students Intercultural and Professional Communication". Director of the Language Center of Osh State University, Amiraliyev Semetei Manasovich, spoke about " Phonetic Processes Unknown to Most Linguists". Candidate of Philological Sciences, Associate Professor Kayykibasheva Aizada Keldibaevna actively discussed the issue of "International Communicative Competence and the Virtual World". English Language Fellow Program teacher for 2024-2025, Eric Rosales, gave a presentation on education, research, and technology. In conclusion, Associate Professor Sulaimanova Gulnura Zholdoshevna presented a report on the topic of her candidates dissertation "Pedagogical Foundations of Forming National Values of Future Teachers through Conceptual Maps (on the example of teaching English)".
The conference became a valuable platform for the exchange of ideas, the development of cooperation, and the identification of new directions in the field of digital integration into language research.
