A New Chapter, New Horizons: On September 11, the Department of American and Translation Studies at the Institute of Communication and Intercultural Relations hosted the highlight of its orientation week for first-year students! This special gathering was the perfect opportunity for freshmen to ease into university life, bond with one another, and start building lasting connections. The head of the department, Burulcha Kozhonovna, organized a unique and engaging game that brought the students together and created a warm atmosphere. Satina Chynybekovna, the internship coordinator, then delivered an inspiring presentation that gave students a clear roadmap for their future career paths. To help everyone navigate their academic journey, Aizhamal Islamidinovna shared a comprehensive guide to the curriculum, school policies, and student expectations. Finally, Nathan Simons, a visiting volunteer, wrapped up the event with a lively and intellectual game of Kahoot, leaving the freshmen energized, motivated, and excited for the semester ahead.
